Main actor: Jesse Smit
Jesse is one of my best friends and so I know him very well and know he will be perfect for this role as he is very confident in front of a camera and is also very reliable so I know he will make sure he is free for every shoot that we suggest.
Drummer: Simon Coppard
I know Simon from around school and through my brother as they are good friends and have seen him perform on his drums many a time so know he is a really skilled musician. He is also very reliable and as soon as he was approached about helping out for the music video he learnt the music ready to perform it one lunchtime.
Guitarist: Samuel Bowes-Read
As he is my brother I know that he will be easy to film as I can do the filming at home in the summerhouse if he isn't free during school time. As it is he is free during lunchtimes and so will  be available to film. Having had to put up with hearing his guitar playing everyday for the last few years I know he is very skilled and could learn this piece the night before we shoot if necessary.
Extra: Rebecca Stone
Rebecca is a member in our group and so I know she will give this role 100%. She is also very organised and creative and I know she will take this same attitude towards her role in the filming.
Extra: Sam Kingsman-Ali
I know Sam from round school so know that he is very confident and so would be good in this role as, the actors used must be confident in front of the camera. He is also very meticulous in his work and so I think he will bring new and fresh ideas to the filming.
Our Casting:
When it came to choosing the actors for the roles it was very straight forward and easy for us. I instantly thought of Jesse to be our main actor as he is very confident and so I knew he would be great in front of the camera. Also his school timetable meant he had lots of free time so I knew he would be free for all of the shoots we suggested and so we didn't feel we needed a backup for this role.
For the drummer I knew straight away that Simon would be perfect. He is at the school meaning it would be a lot easier to organise meeting up with him one lunchtime as he was already at the location we would film at. I knew he had a very high level of expertise in this area and lots of experience performing and so would produce a good quality of sound and acting for our video. In case he was not available though, we had Ethan Hines a fellow class member and drummer as our backup.
For the guitarist I also knew that Samuel would be the perfect choice. He has recently obtained Grade 6 in guitar and has performed at many gigs to his friends as well as members of the public and so I knew he would be comfortable performing in front of a camera. Also as he is my brother I knew that if he was not free during lunchtime to film then he could be filmed at home and so we did not feel the need to have a backup for this role.
The hardest casting was for the extras roles. We had originally wanted around 5 extras to be other people with the face paint, however we realised that logistically this would not work as it would work out too expensive to get them up to London and they were not all free due to school commitments. Instead we decided we would use Rebecca as one of the extras as she would be with us already. The hard task was trying to find the other extra. We had originally wanted to use Ali Khurram as one of our extras as he has a very edgy look about him and so in my opinion would have fitted in with the feel of the music video very well, however due to a school exam he was not available. We then thought about someone else who we felt would fit in well with the piece, would be confident and would be reliable and I thought of Sam Kingsman Ali in year 12. He was used in our audience research interviews and was very efficient with his timings and all his help and responses and so I knew he would be perfect. He was available and so we cast him as our final extra role in which he did a brilliant job.
