Friningham Manor abandoned house (Detling):

This is the perfect location to film in as it really fits in with the 'mysterious' element that we want in our piece

The boarded up windows make the house look isolated which mirrors what the main actor feels like at the beginning of our video

The front garden coupled with this gate is the perfect setting for some of our possible establishing shots as the wild unkempt garden and disheveled looking house matched the mysterious and dark theme we want in our video

This broken door just adds to the 'edge' that this house has and will be a great finishing touch for our shots

Inside the house there is a big red staircase so we could film some singing shots here possible

These shots are now from our shoot at the house. We did Jesse's makeup under the boot of Saskia's car due to the heavy rain

We filmed some shots of Jesse entering the house through the front gate and garden

Here we were testing out the lighting kit and which angles worked best as it was incredibly dark inside the house

We took some shots of Jesse on the stairs for use in our ancillaries and also filmed some shots of him tapping along to the beat here
School Stage: (Maidstone)

We filmed different shots of the guitar on the stage as it was rigged up with lighting and sound kits which was perfect for what we needed

We set up the drums and placed glitter on all the symbols and drums first

We let Simon spend a few minutes practising and did some test shots to see what the glitter would look like on the camera

We plugged Samuel's guitar into the amp and let him practise the song whilst we set up the cameras

Here Rebecca put some of the red sand on the drums so we could film shots with that

We got a variety of shots such as close ups, shots down the fingerboard and long shots so that we had a lot to work with

We then tested out the sand on the drums so that we had a different variety of shots

A shot taken whilst filming Simon playing on the drums. You can see the sand bouncing off the drums

This is one of our edited shots of the drum. I am really happy with this shot as think it looks like a high quality shot and is unique and creative
Seven Sisters Underground station/Victoria Station/Leceister Square: (London)

Here we filmed a time lapse of our main actor Jesse as we knew Leicester Square would be a really busy place

We filmed some shots on the underground to get shots of the public reactions

We filmed shots of him walking around London and in Leicester Square We got some funny looks which made the shots extra quality

Rebecca and Sam were our extras for filming in London. Here we were making them up ready for filming

Sam, Rebecca and Jesse all had the same makeup on their faces of the skeleton mask

The filming cast

Here we were filming shots to use as our time lapse section of the music video

We did 2 different time lapse angles so that we could choose different snippets of them for use in our videos

Out around London filming
The Pool House: (Sandling)

We set up a strobe and UV lighting kit in the poolhouse so that the lip syncing shots would look more creative

We also set up a microphone next to the piano to get some extreme close ups of Jesse's mouth singing along to the words

We did some shots using the UV light. These worked really nicely as they made white makeup glow, however the camera that we had to use did not pick it up as well

We tested out what all the shots would look like and which colours looked stronger on the camera. The purple and the blue worked really well and fitted in with the colour theme we had used in drum and guitar shots

Here you can see what the setup looked like. Saskia and I positioned Jesse against the plain wall in the pool house then positioned the camera right by his face to get some close up lip syncing shots

We then did some shots of Jesse by the piano with the light up microphone singing. These shots were some of my favourite as the contrast of the dark lighting in the room and the bright fairy lights on the microphone really did make Jesse look mysterious and stand out

We also did a photo shoot for our ancillary work in the pool house. As the walls are such a plain colour the strobe lighting worked really well. Also this blue was the same tone that was used in the guitar shots and so we knew this created synergy between different shots in our music video

This was one of my favourite colour strobe lights as it linked in with the red used in the drum shots and also added an element of danger and darkness to our piece

One of my inspirational shots was a double layered one of Gigi Hadid in Calvin Harris' music video. Here we created our own version of that shot. We took one long shot of Jesse moving around frantically and then split it up into smaller clips before layering them all together
